Creating and Updating Products Using SFTP

How to Enable Product SFTP

Product SFTP lets you transfer product files directly to MarketPush's servers on a recurring basis. Before setting it up, make sure you've completed at least one manual product upload through the Products page — this is required to establish field mappings before SFTP imports will work correctly.

For Operator Users

  1. Click your profile icon in the top navigation and select Profile.
  2. Go to the Advanced Settings tab.
  3. Scroll down to the SFTP Settings for Product Import section.
  4. In the Username field, enter a username for your SFTP account. Usernames must be 3–64 characters, using lowercase letters and numbers only.
  5. Click Generate and confirm the dialog. A password will be generated and displayed — copy it immediately using the copy icon, as you won't be able to retrieve it again without regenerating.
  6. Your connection details are now shown:
    • Server: sftp://<account-name>.blob.core.windows.net
    • Port: 22
    • Username: <account-name>.<your-username>
    • Password: the value you just copied
  7. The status will show as Pending briefly while the account is provisioned, then switch to Activated when it's ready to use.

For Seller Users

  1. Click My Seller in the left navigation.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to the SFTP Settings for Product Import section.

Default Import Action

When setting up Product SFTP, you'll also choose a default import action:

  • Full Product Import — Imports new products and overwrites existing ones. All attribute columns must be included; any missing fields will be cleared.
  • Partial Product Update — Updates only the columns present in your file. Missing columns retain their current values.

You can update this setting at any time by returning to the SFTP Settings section and clicking Generate again.

Regenerating a Password

If you need to reset your password, return to the SFTP Settings section, enter your username, and click Generate again. Confirming this will issue a new password and invalidate the previous one.
