MarketPush offers a range of pre-defined product fields like Manufacturer, and Product Title. However, recognizing the individual needs of each business, Operators may find it necessary to collect additional product information beyond what these built-in fields provide.
Operators who possess the necessary privileges have the ability to generate custom field attributes for various products in MarketPush.
When creating these custom fields, Operators have the freedom to specify the field type (such as number, text, date, or select list) for each section, as well as arrange the fields in the desired order.
Field attribute definitions have the following parts:
Name - the name is an internal identifier also used for integrators. By default, the name is automatically filled in using the field label but can be manually changed to use any desired value. This field only accepts letters and numbers and must be unique to the namespace.
Type - such as text, number, or option
Character Limit (optional) - the maximum number of characters
Description (optional), such as information about what values to enter for the field. Values entered into the description field will appear as a tooltip.
To find the attributes setting:
- Log into your MarketPush portal
- Click on your Profile Icon
- Click on Settings
- Click on Manage Attributes
Overview of Attribute Types
This section provides an overview of the available attribute types and their uses.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Text | The text attribute is perfect for names, identifiers, short-value text, or for longer pieces of text to describe a product or provide instructions. |
Number | Use this field type when you only want to allow whole numbers (e.g., quantities, weight, volume, etc). |
Option | For a set of options where only one option can apply at a time, i.e., color or size. |
True / False (Boolean) | Used for all "yes or no" questions. |
Datetime | A datetime field stores specific dates and times for precise tracking and scheduling. |
Create Attributes
To create attributes, click the blue Add Attributes button on the Manage Attributes page.
Fill out the form and click Save.
Note: Clicking "Set as global attribute" will make this new attribute universal across all product categories. If not set as global, it must be manually added to each desired product category.
