A user is defined by a user account (email address) and a password used to sign into MarketPush. There are two types of users:
- Operator
- Seller
About Operator Users
Operator users are responsible for administering and managing the Marketplace. Each user has their own unique login and password. The level of access that operator users have on the platform depends on the roles assigned to them. Different user roles determine the specific privileges and permissions they are granted.
Inviting Users and Managing Store Access
When inviting participants to MarketPush, you have the capability to define their access levels based on group assignments. To enable users to log into a specific store and modify its settings, they must be designated as members of the 'Seller' group. Furthermore, it is essential to authorize their access to the particular store and assign them a role that empowers them to execute relevant operations within the store.
Inviting Users to MarketPush
When inviting multiple users simultaneously, they will all be assigned the same role and access level. Please ensure that this uniform access meets your requirements before sending out the invitations.
Steps:
- Click on your Profile Icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen
- Select Manage Users
- Click Invite User
- In the Invite Users dialog window:
- Enter the email addresses of the users you wish to invite separated by a comma
- Select a Group
- Select a Role Assignment
- If adding a seller user, add the store name under Select Seller
- Click the Invite button
When you add new users, they will initially show up under the Pending Invites tab on the Manage Users page. Once they accept the invitation, their status will update to Active, and they will be listed under the All Users tab.
Additional Insights
- All invitations expire in 72 hours. To reinitiate an invitation after it has expired, click the 3 dots under the Actions column on the Pending Invites page and click Resend Invite.
- Users with the sufficient privileges can archive or delete users. Archived users will temporarily lose access until reinstated, while deleted users will lose access until re-created in the system
- When invited to join MarketPush, users can register using a unique email and password or, if their email is hosted by Google, they can sign up with Google SSO.
