Create Shipping Zones

Modified on Thu, May 2 at 9:05 PM

A shipping zone is a geographic region where a certain set of shipping methods are offered. Customers will get matched to a single zone using their shipping address and present the shipping methods within that zone.

As the Marketplace Operator, the zones you configure are those that each seller needs to abide by when setting up shipping rates for customers.

Creating Shipping Zones

To create shipping zones:

  1. Log into your MarketPush account
  2. Click your Profile Icon
  3. Select Settings
  4. On the General Settings page, click on Shipping
  5. Click the Manage Shipping Zones link
  6. Click the Add Shipping Zone button
  7. Enter the Label (or Display name) for the zone
  8. Enter a brief description (optional)
  9. Select the available Delivery Methods for the zone
  10. Select whether you want to enable or disable the zone temporarily
  11. Click the Save button to add the new zone

Once you've created and saved a zone, you cannot change the zone key.

You can edit the zone's name, description and delivery methods but you cannot edit the key. All edits will reflect globally out to your sellers. If you delete a zone, it will cause seller offers to become inactive until they've reconfigured them to a new zone.

There are no limits on the number of zones you can create, however we recommend that you keep your list short and concise and relevant to your industry's logistics operations in order to avoid confusion and/or indecision from your sellers.
